I posted my picture to the Iron Craft group on Tuesday when the challenge was up, but since it was a birthday card, I wanted to make sure it arrived before I posted it here. Also, here is my public apology that I am getting better about mailing cards for special occasions, but I’m still not good at doing that on time. One day. I hope.
I love polka dots. But I usually think of something to wear, not for craft projects. Also, as adornment for a car. I really tried to find a picture of my car from college, because I painted polka dots on it, and it was awesome. But I couldn’t find one. Just picture this vehicle with orange dots.
Anyways, my sister and brother-in-law have birthdays that are close together, which usually means that I send them a joint gift, so they can celebrate together (and because I’m cheap and postage is expensive). So I came up with this card for both of them. Sequins as polka dots? Winner. Also a winner? Fancy “happy birthday” stickers that I don’t have to cut out.
I like to make birthday cards when I have time, which doesn’t always happen. Again, I’m trying to be better about it. Do you make or buy birthday cards?
