Much like my physical location, my online home has been through several iterations over the past few years. Back in high school, I started an online journal on Xanga. (Does that even still exist any more?) It was mostly me overthinking life and relationships, and really not much of substance. But it helped me keep writing a part of my nearly daily life.
I moved on to Blogger shortly before my oldest was born. I’ve actually had three separate blogs on there, focusing on deals, weight loss, and life as a homemaker. All were helpful outlets for me during the seasons of life that I had them.
And now, I’m here. And this feels right.
Finding Home is about creating the home you want, one step at a time.
Sometimes, that looks practical. Cleaning tips, how to organize the toys so you stop stepping on Legos, recipes to save time in the kitchen. Sometimes, it looks a little more philosophical. How to be content where you are if you’re not sure it’s where you’re supposed to be, how to make a house feel like a home, how to love your kids where they’re at without trying to change them into mini versions of yourself.
Finding home is a journey, not a destination. Thank you for coming along.
