December is already full of stuff, so it can be easy to cringe when you see a list of 25 things to do, one for each day leading up to Christmas. But I promise this is not that list! These are super easy, mostly no prep things to do in December. Things like watching movies and making treats you were going to make anyways. But somehow, having a special "thing" each day brings my kids joy, and maybe it will for your family too. I don't want my December to be full of things that I'm doing just … [Read more...]
Pajama Tuesdays
On Mondays, we do grocery shopping. On Wednesdays, we go to the library. And on Tuesdays, we wear pajamas. My children know this now. If we happen to have something scheduled on a Tuesday, they gasp and say, "But Mom, that means you have to get dressed!" We didn't always do things this way. Grocery Breakdown: March 2019
I feel like I'm finally getting into the groove of shopping and planning here. My menu plans were still mostly in the winter weather mindset, but every now and then we changed things up. Saturday, February 2: Aldi $9.05 We needed mini peppers for making nachos as part of our Superbowl feast, and Jesse offered to go to the store for me. He grabbed a few extras … [Read more...]

For those joining from Simple Homeschool, we are a family of 7. My husband Jesse is in his first year of a doctorate program, and our kids are Jonah (age 9), Matthew (age 7), Hannah (age 5), Elizabeth (age 4), and Sarah (age 1). Somewhere around 5:30am: Sarah starts whining AGAIN. I pull her into our bed for the third time since my … [Read more...]
